E.B.G. Higher Secondary School stands as a beacon of hope, knowledge and service, dedicated to empowering young minds through quality education and value – based learning the institution is managed by the congregation founded by Mother Elisa Martinez in Migiano South Italy, in 1941. The congregation, inspired by its mission of serving the poor, the needy, and children in need has established its presence across the world through educational, health care, and social service initiatives.
The Journey of the congregation in India began in 1969 when his Grace Bishop Dr. Justin Diraviam recognized the selfless service rendered by the sisters dedicated themselves to serving society through schools, hospitals, dispensaries and child care centers. Their commitments to uplifting the underprivileged laid the foundation for several institutions that continue to serve communities across region.
The roots of E.B.G school can be traced back to the year 1984 when the sisters, driven by a vision to educate the downtrodden and marginalized children, started a small school in convent parlour with just 30 students. Although the beginning was humble, the sisters were determined to provide children with an environment that nurtured learning, discipline and personal growth. Their dedication attracted the support of many well-wishers who believed in the noble mission of the institution.
A significant turning point came with the support of Mother Noemi Carbone, whose compassion and concern for the education of children inspired the construction of a dedicated school building in 1985. Further encouragement came from the generous benefactor Mr. Edward Bondolfi, who contributed towards the development of the school as a gesture of gratitude for the care provided by the sisters to his family, These acts of generosity helped transform a small educational initiative into a thriving institution.
The school’s first teachers, Rev. Sr. Goodlinda and Rev. Sr. Celestina, laid a strong academic foundation through their dedication, hard work and commitment to excellence. Their efforts nurtured the first generation of students and established a culture of quality education that continues to flourish today.
Over the years, E.B.G School has experienced remarkable growth and development. What began with only 30 students has expanded into a vibrant educational institution serving nearly 1826 students supported by a team of approximately 65 dedicated teachers, along with non-teaching and support staff, the school has become center of academic excellence and character formation.
Today, E.B.G. Higher Secondary School provides holistic education that promotes intellectual growth, moral values, social responsibility and leadership skills. The Institution strives to create a learning environment where students are encouraged to discover their talents, develop confidence and become responsible citizens. The school remains committed to nurturing young minds with compassion, discipline and academic excellence while upholding the values envisioned by its founders.
The remarkable journey of E.B.G School from a modest beginning in a convert parlour to a renowned educational institution reflects the unwavering dedication of the Sisters, teachers, parents benefactors and students who have contributed to its success, As the school continues to grow, it remains steadfast in its mission of providing quality education and shaping future generations with knowledge, wisdom and values.
