The congregation which was founded by blessed mother Elisa Martinez in Migiano in south Italy in 1941 has its branches all over the world. This papal congregation with avowed objective of serving the destitute and the children focuses on health care education. By the grace the Bishop Dr.Justin Diraviam recognized the selfless service to start a convent of daughters of St. Mary of Leuca in Madurai.
The Congregation sisters serving the helpless folk of Madurai in the year 1969. And also established a clinic dispensary for children and multispecialty hospital. Then they started nursery school which has become a higher secondary school.
Founded in 1985 with 30 students, our school was founded by Mother Noemi Carbone to serve the under privileged with the present building funded by benefactor Mr.Edward Bondolfi.
From that modest inception the institution has 1826 students and the tutelage of 65 educators, ably supported by 6 non-teaching. Since 1985 EBG has been function successfully.
